One Punch Man

I am not a big fan of anime and I havent seen a lot. Normally I prefer real people and a big storyline, but animated shows are great for when you want some ‘mindless watching’. No need to think but just laughing at the silly show before you. One punch man is one of those shows that I watched for the mindless entertainment. It is also currently on Netflix so you can easy watch it.

What is it about?

On an unnamed Earth-like super-continent planet, powerful monsters and villains have been mysteriously appearing and causing disasters. To combat them, the world’s government created a Hero Association that employs superheroes to stop the violent creatures and villains. Each of the Hero Association’s superheroes are ranked from Class-C to Class-S. One punch man is an unranked hero, hailing from the metropolis of City-Z, who performs heroic deeds for his own entertainment. He has trained himself to the point where he can effortlessly defeat any opponent with a single punch. However, since One Punch Man became a hero for the fun of the experience, he has lately become bored with his superhuman power, and frustrated at the complete lack of strong opponents that can challenge him.

What do I like

One Punch Man gets an article from me, meaning that I do think it has something special. One Punch Man does grab every cliche in anime and puts a funny twist on it. The character design is also absurd in every way, I even thinks that it takes from other anime and enlarges it. It brings a smile on my face every time I recognize something. At times the humor can be a bit much and it is not for the faint of heart, but it is unique.

For entertainment and mindless watching One Punch Man is perfect. But I would love to hear what you watch when you want to watch something simple!
